TRANSPARENCY REPORT 2020
Part of what makes Brain Helmet special is its transparency in our sourcing model. This quality-driven transparency model means publishing our green coffee costs so that customers might get a better idea of what the fair value of green coffee is, and why we charge what we charge.
The purpose of this is to educate customers so that they can start having an informed opinion about good business practices and where they should spend their coffee money on. If customers can compare what coffee companies are paying for their raw ingredients, then they will understand why certain items are priced in such a way.
The alternative intention is to really put pressure on institutional coffee chains that deliberately obfuscate their green coffee pricing, so that they might be able to eek out a couple extra percentage points on their profit margin. We are willing to publish our pricing because we think we are charging the fair market price for coffees based on the cost of ingredients.
