No chemicals here BABY! This decaf coffee is a step up from anything you'd find in your grandparents freezer. This coffee tastes like milk chocolate and malt powder (I don't know if this combination has ever been used before...) and has a tactile super slick, silky smooth, velvety feel that is neato-bandito.
This coffee was sourced from Royal Coffee
Inconexus, a Colombian export company, has developed a successful model of sourcing specialty coffee in some of the most renowned growing regions of Colombia. The key is creating a support network for producers, which builds confidence resulting in excellent coffee.
Inconexus has used this model to grow an organization of 19 producers called Grupo Sierra. The collaboration has helped the producers improve farm management and processing protocol.
Producers also benefit from the close proximity of the Inconexus cupping lab and dry mill located in Santa Marta where coffee is quickly evaluated, and parchment is stored in grainpro for protection from the coastal humidity. The result is a distinct, complex, clean and consistent regional blend.
After selection, the green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee solubles that extract the caffeine without extracting the coffees particular flavor.
